So I thought I would check in with my semi-annual update, tee hee. It's funny because I'm doing so at a time when I'm actually really busy at work, while for the past few weeks I've had nothing really on the go. I just find it ironic... anywho.
Alot has happened in the last handful of months, Lindsay and I took my parents to the Dominican Republic for their 30th wedding anniversary, which was an awesome time! I discovered boogie boarding, which is seriously the most fun I've EVER had in my life. My dad was super cool and caught a bunch of waves, he had a sincere blast as well. Sufficed to say, we both have been craving some waves ever since.
Lindsay and I started planning our next big trip back in October, and it's killing us to have to wait. We're planning to go to Europe next March '09 for three weeks and change, particularly to France for two weeks, and Italy for just over a week, with a stopover in Geneva, Switzerland for a day on the way back to Paris. It's going to be freaking awesome, as well as freaking expensive. Traveling is a passion that both Lindsay and I share though, so it's something we've come to budget for.
Business has been very successful this last year, with the best year of sales and revenue to date. I'm kinda proud of that, as this has been my first full year in my position, and I worked very diligently. We had a lot of big jobs, and a lot of happy customers, which is more than I could hope for. Our bonuses were able to once again clear any debts we had, and put a little something extra in the bank to help for our savings for the trip. So, basically, a HUGE blessing that I hope I never stop being grateful for, or come to expect.
Christmas time was amazing for us and our families, we spent alot of time with everyone. Also, I managed to score that bass guitar I was dreaming about. Lindsay organized a massive money pooling scheme among all mine and her family and they got it for me. I'm honestly the most extremely luckiest person on the face of the earth, and I'm so thankful for the people that are in my life. I know that's mushy talk, so I'll leave it at that.
That's basically it for now, work is picking up for the new year, and I really want to start blogging more regularly, but as you all know... that's not gonna happen :-) I know this post is a little short, and disjointed, but what d'ya expect, there's like five months I just covered. Oh, for those who care, our friend and homie, Phil Kazmaier just got engaged to his long-time girlfriend Jen, so if you get a chance congratulate the lucky bastard. Peace out Homies, until, oh, maybe April.
