What a Game!
MAN ALIVE! That was the coolest NBA game I've ever been to. For Starters, the game was really good: Vince Carter tied the game in the final seconds with a three-pointer to head into overtime. The sucky part is that they lost in overtime by one point and they ultimately stopped playing great after the first quarter, but it was an awesome game... AND NOW FOR THE BEST PART - THE SEATS!!! Holy cow, I've been to box seats before but this was soooo much better!!! These Boxseats were owned by Canwest Global/National Post and how it works is that there is this clubhouse-like room that is beneath the seating area where you can go and grab free food and drinks, and then you go out to the court where our seats were in THE FIFTH FREAKING ROW FROM THE COURT!!! In my opinion there is absolutely no other way to watch a basketball game than from practically court-side. There so much that goes on that you never notice on the court until you're right there. Even the feel of the game is so different. To top it off we had our own waitress who took care of us while we were in our seats as well... GOOD TIMES! So that's that... my brother and I chose to take a taxi home instead of waiting an hour to catch the go train, and we almost got killed in a close almost-head-on collision, the roads were slick... we're alive although our cab driver was a little shook up afterwards... poor guy. So I'm off to bed! Peace out.
